St Annes Fulshaw C of E Primary School Website - Church

Welcome to St Anne's Fulshaw Church of England Our school has close links with St Anne's Church, situated opposite the school. The school was founded by the church members in 1876, and was originally located within the church building. Today we continue to serve the local community, providing a sound education based on Christian values and philosophy.

The children attend weekly services in church, where parents are encouraged to join us, and church staff are also regular visitors to the school.

We are also a community school, where we recognise that our pupils are from a variety of religious and secular backgrounds. Our pupils are encouraged to learn about and respect other faiths.

In November 2001 the school celebrated its 125th year anniversary.

We celebrated this great occasion with a busy week of activities culminating in a party for the parish and the school. Each class put on a performance and the event was marked by ex pupils representing generations back to the time of the First World War. The mayor commemorated the event and the renaming of the school by officially hoisting a flag bearing the new name - St Anne's Fulshaw Church of England Primary School.

Meanwhile the children filled time capsules of memories, keepsakes, writing, photographs and artefacts associated with 2001. The time capsules were buried in the playground and will be dug up again to coincide with the school's 150th anniversary in 2026.
